GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Three Green Bay Packers players were out making a difference in the community on Giving Tuesday.
In Green Bay, Packers running back, Aaron Jones teamed up with Sargento Foods Inc. to donate $17,500 to Paul’s Pantry.
The partnership is part of Touchdowns for Hunger.
For every touchdown the Packers score during the regular season, Sargento donates $500 to Paul’s Pantry.
So far, the team has scored 31 touchdowns this season, Jones scoring 14 of them.
Fans can also help raise more money by liking and sharing an official Touchdowns for Hunger video on social media. For every “like” or “share” on social media, Sargento will donate $1.
Later in the day Tuesday, Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander stopped at the west Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay, gifting 100 students with his #23 jersey.
And in Appleton, Packers defensive tackle, Kenny Clark, helped package food with fourth-grade students from St. Nicholas school as part of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
The packaged food will then be delivered to Freedom Food Pantry.
