GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – An Appleton man will spend over 13 years in prison for drug and gun charges.
27-year old Yia Yang was convicted of possession with the intent to distribute meth and possessing a gun while trafficking drugs. He was sentenced to eight years and five months in prison on the drug charge followed by five years on the gun charge.
Postal inspectors found 921 grams of meth in a package Yang received from California. Officers arrested Yang and found a loaded handgun in his vehicle, along with other firearms and three pounds of marijuana in his home.
The judge who sentenced him stressed the dangerous combination of drugs and guns.
