OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — The Oshkosh School Resource Officer stabbed by a student last week at Oshkosh West High School is out of the hospital.
Officer Michael Wissink, a 21 year veteran of the Oshkosh Police Department, left Thedacare in Neenah and was met by dozens and dozens of area police officers.
Wissink left the hospital wearing a cast on his left hand. The student involved, a 16-year-old, remains in the Winnebago County Jail. Wissink shot the student after he was stabbed.
