OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – Oshkosh Police are searching for the person who caused serious damage while vandalizing a bathroom in Menominee Park.
Vandals tend to receive fines and citations for their actions once they’re caught. But Oshkosh Public Relations Officer Kate Mann says that won’t be the case for what happened in Menominee Park last week – where a sink was ripped from the wall and toilet paper dispensers were smashed.
“It’s estimated the damage is around $5,000. Due to the amount of damage that was done, it would be more than a citation, it would be a state arrest,” Mann tells WTAQ News.
The perpetrators could face charges for criminal damage to property. Anyone with information is being urged to come forward.
“If they do wish to remain anonymous, they can report this through the Winnebago County Crimestoppers using the P3 Tip app on their Apple or Android phone,” Mann says, “We did have an anonymous source reach out to us and advise us that they’d be willing to put up $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.”
