GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The ownership group behind more than 40 Wisconsin fast food restaurants, including many in Northeast Wisconsin, is being fined by the federal government for violating child labor laws.
Kentucky based Manna, Inc, a Franchisee of Wendy’s and Fazoli’s resturants, will pay $157,114 in fines.
Investigators say they found 446 minor employees had worked outside of legally approved hours. Federal law requires that 14- and 15-year-old employees work only between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm on school nights, never for more than 3 hours on a school day, and never for more than 8 hours on any other day.
