APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The transportation service of the Fox Valley unveiled a new website this month.
“Myvalleytransit.com – it’s really easy to access. Bookmark it. It’s quick and easy, gives you current information,” says Valley Transit General Manager Ron McDonald.
It used to be quite a task to dig up Valley Transit information, but the new site makes things easier to navigate and locate.
“Previously we were included as part of the City of Appleton’s website. So our information, as you can imagine, was buried within all of the other city pages,” McDonald tells WTAQ News, “It gives quick access to maps and schedules, our fares, detours, announcements, and things like that.”
If you’re more savvy to using a smartphone set up with apps for everything, Valley Transit has you covered as well.
“Download our app, I think you’ll be pleased with how it works as a bus tracking app that gives you real-time information,” McDonald says, “They can click on that and look at the entire system or one particular route. The app updates about every 1-2 seconds.”
Valley Transit covers about 117 square miles, providing service all the way from Kaukauna to Neenah and operating in nine municipalities through Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties.
