FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ) – A missing 16-year-old girl from the Fox Crossing area has been found.
On January 25th, 2021 the Fox Crossing Police Department had released a social media post regarding a 16-year-old girl that had run away from home. She was believed to be in the company of her 20-year-old boyfriend.
Fox Crossing Police worked with the U.S. Marshal’s Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Special Investigation’s
Unit (a partnership between the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department and the Appleton Police Department) to develop leads in the case.
On Wednesday, they found a possible address of where the two were staying in the city of Kaukauna. Investigators validated that tip and were able to make contact with them. Both fled from officers, but were taken into custody following a short foot pursuit.
The man was booked into the Outagamie County Jail on charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, resisting arrest, and an
outstanding felony Department of Corrections warrant. The juvenile was taken into custody by the Fox Crossing Police Department and transported to a juvenile facility.
