WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Former 7th Congressional district Representative Sean Duffy has found his new gig.
Duffy was introduced Sunday morning as a new contributor to CNN’s “State of the Union” show.
According to The Hill, Jake Tapper acknowledged the hire during Sunday’s program when he introduced Duffy, saying “Thank you for being here and congratulations on joining the CNN family.”
Numerous other outlets report Duffy will be paid for his contributions to the network. Duffy has not acknowledged the job on his Facebook page.
During his time in Washington, he was a regular on FOX News Channel. Duffy’s wife Rachel Campos-Duffy is also a weekend anchor and host for FOX.
It’s unclear how often Duffy will be contributing to the program. Back in September, he resigned from his position to spend more time with his growing family. That includes a newborn daughter that will require extra care due to a heart defect.
A special election to fill the seat will be held next spring, with the primary taking place on February 18th and the general election on May 12th.
