GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A murder trial is on hold after the judge broke his ankle.
James Prokopovitz is on trial for allegedly killing his wife, Victoria, in 2013. Her body has never been found.
The trial started this week, with the prosecution continuing its presentation.
However, Judge Timothy Hinkfuss broke his ankle in three places in a fall, and will undergo surgery Friday, according to a court official. The Associated Press reports Hinkfuss slipped on ice after leaving the Brown County Courthouse.
The trial is tentatively scheduled to resume Monday morning.
