OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A missing snowmobiler was found safe in Outagamie County on Sunday around 5:00 a.m.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office says they were notified early Sunday morning at roughly 12:30 a.m. of three snowmobilers who did not arrive at their destination in Hortonville from the Shiocton area.
Deputies were able to initially get in touch with two of the three snowmobilers, but were still searching for a 21 year-old Hortonville man.
The missing man was dropped off at home at approximately 5:00 a.m. while officials were searching along snowmobile trails in the county.
According to the Outagamie Sheriff’s Office, the missing Hortonville man had driven off the snowmobile path and walked to a home for help.
The 21-year-old was transported to a local hospital for injuries related to cold exposure.
