FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Power had to be shut off in a Fond du Lac neighborhood after a garage caught fire on Friday.
Fond du Lac Fire Rescue says it was dispatched shortly after 2 p.m. for a report of a detached garage fire at 33 E. 12th St.
Upon arrival, crews found a two-car garage behind the home fully engulfed.
The fire was nearing above power lines, which prompted Alliant Energy to do an emergency disconnect.
The fire was put out before reaching any other buildings, and no injuries were reported.
The cause remains under investigation.
