IOLA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The victim of a murder in Iola has been identified as Bradley Trinwith.
Trinwith, 42, of Mukwonago, was stabbed Jan. 25 during confrontation about a road rage incident. Tyler Knutson, 23, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, although his family contends it was self-defense.
An obituary posted by a North Prairie funeral home says funeral services were Saturday. Waupaca County District Attorney Veronica Isherwood confirmed Trinwith as the victim for FOX 11.
“Brad was an extreme outdoorsman. He loved everything outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping. He was a member of Buck Rub and Whale Tales. He enjoyed his friends and his family, especially the time he got to spend with his son Braden and his friends at Hansen Auto. Dirty Ernie will be sadly missed by all but will be loved and cherished by those blessed enough to know him,” the obituary states.
The criminal complaint only identifies Trinwith by his initials. All Iola and Waupaca County authorities have referred questions about the case to the state Department of Justice.
Knutson and Trinwith were passengers in vehicles which nearly got into a crash outside a bar. The two vehicles ended up at a home. The two got into a fight, with Knutson allegedly stabbing Trinwith in the neck.
A conviction on the first-degree intentional homicide count would result in a life prison term. Knutson is due back in court February 11th.
