GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person is behind bars after five people were stabbed Saturday morning in Green Bay.
Police are recommending a charge of attempted second-degree reckless homicide against Salvador Nunez, 26. Cmdr. Paul Ebel says charges against other suspects are expected in the coming days.
A pregnant woman is among the victims. All five were taken to the hospital; they were expected to survive.
Police said it happened around 2 a.m. in the area of S. Maple Avenue and S. Chestnut Avenue. Deputy Brown County District Attorney Dana Johnson said in court Monday that the incident began as a bar fight.
A $5,000 cash bond was set for Nunez. He is due back in court March 18.
Officers have said the public is not in danger.
