APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Entry forms are now available to be in Appleton’s annual Memorial Day parade.
The parade, set for Monday, May 25, will feature marching units, floats, and vehicles representing local military and veteran groups to honor servicemen and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military.
The parade will start at 9 a.m., with the route first heading east on College Ave. from Appleton St. to Meade St., north on Meade St. to Pacific St., east on Pacific St. ending at the corner of Pacific St. and Owaissa St. (at the entrance of Riverside Cemetery).
Immediately following the parade, will be a ceremony at Appleton’s historic Riverside Cemetery with music, speeches, and poems. A second, short ceremony will follow at the Appleton American Legion’s veterans’ plot to pay tribute to the local deceased American Legion veterans.
