GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — On March 4th, WTAQ published a story with the headline “‘Completely Unexpected’: State Senator Reacts After Governor Vetoes Meat Raffle Bill”.
After additional conversation with Nick Reddinger, State Senator Andre Jacque’s Chief of Staff, we’ve decided to issue a correction in the interest of clarification and full transparency.
Meat raffles in the state of Wisconsin are still legal as long as the only drawing method used is the traditional placing of the ticket stubs into a drawing container where the tickets are drawn for the winner. That’s according to Wisconsin’s raffle laws.
Paddlewheels are often used in meat raffles.
