NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Fox Valley trucking company is making a difference for Nashville residents affected by a deadly tornado.
NM Transfer in Neenah is asking the public to help them fill a truck with supplies to bring down to Music City.
Starting Sunday morning, a truck will be parked at the Pick-N-Save parking lot at 828 Fox Point Plaza in Neenah.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday and Monday, community members can drop off supplies.
Some of the most needed items are: Cleaning supplies, box cutters, flashlights, laundry detergent. personal hygiene products, baby formula, diapers, wipes, work gloves, latex gloves.
NM Expedited driver, Wayne Peters, tells FOX 11 we’re lucky to live in such a great and giving community. In the past, he’s delivered supplies to Houston, Florida and South Carolina to help victims of natural disasters.
“When you pull into those areas and you see what these people are going through, you don’t want to see that happen around here and if it did happen around here, you’d sure as heck want those people to come here and help us.”
The company will then take the supplies down to Nashville next week Tuesday or Wednesday.
Early last Tuesday morning, a tornado ripped through Nashville, Wilson County, Putnam County and Benton County. It destroyed multiple homes and killed at least 24 people.
