GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Saturday’s warm weather likely made a Polar Plunge a little more bearable.
They jumped into the cold water in the Lambeau Field parking lot.
Participants raised money for the Special Olympics.
Some jumped by themselves, and some as teams.
“It’s for the athletes,” said Gracie Regal, a 9-year-old who plunged for her first time.
“And it just looked really fun, I like going swimming…and jumping. Right when I got up there, it was like ‘am I really going to do this?'”
The event was part of a series of 12 Polar Plunges held by Wisconsin Special Olympics this season.
