GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – William Herman was charged Tuesday with attempted homicide for allegedly stabbing a man Saturday.
Herman, 55, is also charged with reckless injury and resisting an officer for the incident on George Street. An initial court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
Daniel Ritter says he was washing his hands in the bathroom when Herman came in and stabbed him in the side, above the hip.
Ritter’s daughter told police Herman was upset with Ritter for providing information to Herman’s parole agent, resulting in being taken to jail . “This was an act of retaliation,” she said, according to the complaint.
Police used a taser in the arrest of Herman. A blood test revealed a BAC of .323, the complaint states.
While Herman gave a limited interview to police, he did not admit to the stabbing.
