STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Door County Medical Center is canceling elective and non-essential visits amid the coronavirus pandemic.
For elective surgeries, all surgeries performed by visiting specialists are canceled. For those being performed by DCMC surgeons, the local doctor will determine whether the patient can postpone surgery. Those patients will be contacted.
For clinic visits, each practice will contact patients to cancel all elective visits and cancel any blood draws or x-ray appointments.
For other outpatient visits, anything considered routine will be postponed. Anything critical to a patient’s well-being should continue as scheduled.
DCMC has established a COVID-19 hotline for those who believe they have been exposed to the coronavirus. The number is (920) 746-3700.
