GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The man who allegedly robbed a bank Thursday was also charged with a second armed robbery count for allegedly stealing the money bag from a convenience store employee who was making a deposit in the bank.
Brandon Brewer made an initial appearance Friday on two counts of armed robbery.
Bond was set at $100,000 cash. A balance of initial appearance is set for Feb. 12
According to the criminal complaint, Brewer told a teller at the Chase Bank, 200 S. Adams St. “This is a robbery. I have a gun. Put the money in the bag.”
After the bank teller handed over about $1,000 in cash, Brewer allegedly grabbed the money bag belonging to an employer from a Kwik Trip.
“A total of $20,467.75 in cash was recovered from Brewer and his possession. From the deposit bag for Kwik Trip located in Brewer’s room we know that it contained $12,425 dollars. At this time we have not received the paperwork from the bank to indicate the total money that would have been removed from the two tills. Of the remaining $8042.75 it is known that some of the money will be accounted for from the tills of the Chase Bank. What money remains after that some belong to Brewer and/or may be proceeds from other criminal actions,” the complaint states.
