GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — For the 10th year in a row, and effort to blanket the unblanketed is underway in Brown County.
The United Way’s Blanketing Brown County officially kicked off Tuesday morning. They’re accepting new and/or clean and gently used blankets at a number of drop-off locations across the county.
You can drop off blankets at Green Bay Fleet Farm stores, Pomp’s Tire locations, Brown County Library branches, Green Bay Metro fire stations and YMCA locations.
“Over the previous nine years, our drive has collected over 20,000 blankets and other bedding items for distribution,” said Dan Wadle with the United Way during a Tuesday kick-off event.
Last year they collected over 2,600 blankets and bedding items that were distributed through 40 programs. The blanket donations will be accepted through February 1st.
