MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Criminal charges will not be brought against a Marinette County deputy who fatally shot a man last month.
Marinette County District Attorney DeShea Morrow determined the actions of Deputy Jesse Parr, who shot and killed 74-year-old Duane W. Rich of Wausaukee on Nov. 27, were justified under the given circumstances.
Evidence from a state-led investigation, including video from squad cameras, radio communication and physical evidence from the scene, showed Parr acted appropriately and in line with professional training, according to the DA.
More information from the investigation is expected to be released.
