CASCO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two people were transported to the hospital after a crash in Kewaunee County Saturday evening.
The sheriff’s department was called at 7:09 p.m. for a one-vehicle crash on State Highway 54 at South View Lane in the Town of Casco.
Authorities say a 54-year-old Forestville man lost control of his 2001 Chevy SUV while traveling westbound on an icy portion of the highway. The vehicle rolled numerous times, ejecting the driver.
A passenger, a 55-year-old woman from Forestville was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Luxemburg Fire Department.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries. The passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
