MISHICOT, WI (WTAQ) – A 14-year-old is accused of being involved in a shooting in Mishicot that injured a 22-year-old man.
The shooting happened on Nov. 23, when Manitowoc County deputies responded to the area of Ridge Rd. and W. Church St. in the town of Mishicot for a report of a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle.
When deputies arrived, they saw shots were fired into the vehicle.
During the investigation, officials learned a 22-year-old Sheboygan man went to an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
Investigators determined the man was wounded during the Mishicot shooting.
On Dec. 2, police arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection to the shooting.
Officials say he is being held at the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center pending his initial appearance for weapons violations.
Police say this was an isolated incident and believe the public is not in any danger.
