MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WTAQ) — The game between the University of Wisconsin Badgers and the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers has been called off.
The University of Minnesota made that call Tuesday, suspending all football related activities after several members of the team contracted COVID-19.
The game will not be made up, leaving a big hole in the long running rivalry and ensuring that the rightful owner of “Paul Bunyan’s Axe” will be undecided this year.
