MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The number of new COVID-19 cases dropped on Monday and reported several new COVID-19 deaths.
The Wisconsin DHS reports 3,095 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, a slight decrease from Sunday.
Health officials say 12,291 test results came back on Monday, with positive cases accounting for 25.1% of those total results.
The state also confirmed an additional six deaths, bringing the total to 3,011. No deaths were reported on Sunday–the first time that’s happened in over a month.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been more than two million people tested, 357,771 positive cases, and 2,094,448 negative test results.
The DHS considers 276,574 patients to be recovered from the virus, while there are 75,035 active cases.
