INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Packers fall to the Indianapolis Colts 34-31 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Packers started the overtime period with the ball – but a Marquez Valdez-Scantling fumble gave the Colts possession with good field position. That was quickly followed by a walk-off field goal by Colts kicker Rodrigo Blankenship. Blankenship was 4/5 on field goals for the day.
Aaron Rodgers went 27/38 with 311 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception. Colts Quarterback Philip Rivers went 24/36 for 288 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a pick.
Former Wisconsin Badger running back Jonathan Taylor caused issues for the Packers defense, carrying the ball 22 times for 90 yards – along with 4 catches for 24 yards.
The Packers saw a strong start, going into halftime with a 28-14 lead. They saw very little time of possession in the second half, which gave the Colts plenty of time to make a comeback.
The Packers fall to 7-3, but maintain a lead in the NFC North. Green Bay will host the 5-5 Chicago Bears next Sunday night at Lambeau Field.
