KIMBERLY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 35-year-old man was arrested on domestic violence charges following a standoff Friday in Kimberly.
Fox Valley Metro police say the department was dispatched shortly after 7 a.m. Friday to a home in the 100 block of S. Washington Street. A report indicated a domestic disturbance was in progress.
Upon arrival, officers heard a disturbance and attempted to contact the people inside.
After no response, additional law enforcement was called.
Several minutes later, two people came out of the home and were detained. A third person, who police say was the suspect in the incident, refused to comply and leave the home.
After a 30-minute standoff, officers entered the home and were able to arrest the suspect without incident.
