GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – One person died, another injured after a house fire in Green Bay.
On Tuesday, November 17th, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 2958 West Point Road around 5 p.m.
After the initial dispatch, it was reported that a victim was still inside the home. Upon arrival, crews were faced with heavy smoke conditions.
Firefighters were able to locate the victim in the home and pull them to safety. The victim was transported to a local hospital. At the hospital, the victim succumbed to their injuries and passed away.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the Green Bay Metro Fire Marshal’s Office is working closely with the Green Bay Police Department to determine the cause.
