Governor Evers announced an additional $10 million in CARES Act funding to fight hunger in the state. This is all done through the Wisconsin Food Security Initiative and also comes after $15 million was given earlier this year. The money will be split between Feeding America and the Hunger Task Force so they can buy food and give it to those who need it.
The program kicked off back in May and it’s not the only one in Wisconsin that’s been helping people out. There’s also the Wisconsin Farm Support Program which gave $50 million back to farmers this summer.
