DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A popular outdoor recreation area along the Fox River in De Pere has been vandalized.
The Riverwalk and Wildlife Viewing Pier had nine bollards destroyed, a bench and garbage standard broken and thrown in the river, and two “No Fishing” signs were torn off their mounting brackets. The damage is estimated to cost the city and taxpayers more than $10,000.
