GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The warm weather this weekend gave some people the opportunity to do yard work… or put up Christmas lights.
Others just soaked in the sun.
“The weather is really beautiful today!” John Brzozowski said.
“I love it,” Kathy Milton said. “I actually think I need to take my jacket off because it’s a little warm with my jacket on.”
After an election that drew out record numbers of people Tuesday, Mother Nature brought them out again over the weekend.
“The weather, everybody should get out and enjoy it and just put their cares and arguments all aside, just enjoy yourselves, forget what’s going on,” Bill Mack said. “We’re going to be walking a lot because it’s just too nice to be in[side].”
“Maybe take a ride to Door County and go see what’s going on there,” Kathy Milton said.
“Probably spend it outside,” Brynn Bauer added.
“Probably go for a walk, possibly go take a ride out to Lake Michigan, because time is short,” Brzozowski said.
We aren’t used to this kind of weather in Wisconsin in November, but a lot about 2020 has taken some getting used to.
“I’m very surprised, but it’s been a crazy year and it was cold in October so it’s really nice that it is warm and sunny,” Milton said.
“Oh, I love it,” Brzozowski said. “I hope it lasts another five weeks.”
FOX 11 Meteorologist Justin Steinbrinck says not so fast.
“All things must come to an end and this will too,” Steinbrinck said. “We see the pattern beginning to break down and the colder air beginning to move in as we go through the week ahead.”
Tuesday is a transition day, then wet weather will move through, and back to reality. But for now that doesn’t matter at Village Green Golf Course in Howard.
“It’s great weather, you don’t get many opportunities to get out in November,” golfer Brynn Bauer said.
Or around the Fox River…
“Get out and enjoy it while we can because it’s not going to stay for very long and then we’re going to be shoveling out and layered up,” Milton said.
The average high temperature for the past 7 days averaged out at around 70 degrees.
