GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The chairs of the Republican and Democratic parties in Brown County have two different thoughts when it comes to the election.
Democratic party chair Mike Moran says the process went smoothly.
“I know some folks have been a little anxious about it, but it is what it is,” said Moran, “this is the process.”
Meanwhile, Republican Party Chair James Fitzgerald says genuine concerns exist about the integrity of the process.
“The integrity of our balloting process should be a question that every voter wants to get to the bottom of,” said Fitzgerald.
For Wisconsin, the Associated Press declared Joe Biden the winner Wednesday afternoon. But with a possible recount looming, the waiting could be starting up again.
Wisconsin assembly speaker Robin Voss is now directing the Assembly committee on campaign and elections to review Wisconsin’s election.
In a statement Vos says there are “concerns surfacing about mail-In ballot dumps and voter fraud, Wisconsin citizens deserve to know their vote counted.”
He continues on to say “there must be absolute certainty that the impending recount finds any and all irregularities.”
