GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The cities of Green Bay and De Pere released a statement this afternoon recommending that people do not trick-or-treat door to door this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
City officials recommend choosing alternatives for celebrating Halloween instead. That includes virtual activities and visits with friends and family, in-home Halloween-themed activities like baking treats, decorating, watching movies, or scavenger hunt – or drive-through haunted house or decoration viewing. The City of Green Bay & City of De Pere also do not recommend gathering in groups for Halloween celebrations with people you do not live with, and recommend avoiding in-person indoor celebrations, happy hours, or socializing at bars.
Despite those recommendations, the cities are still setting designated trick-or-treating hours. It will run Saturday, October 31st from 4-7 p.m.
