OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – As the coronavirus continues to spread in Northeast Wisconsin, Outagamie County Circuit Court has amended its Operational Plan.
In September, in-person hearings in Outagamie and Brown counties were suspended through Oct. 13.
On Tuesday, Outagamie County Operational Plan Committee members issued the following changes for the time period of Oct. 13 to Oct. 30:
- Jury Trials are limited to criminal matters with speedy trial demands, for incarcerated defendants on the pending trial matter and out-of-state detainers. Jury Trials can also be held for cases with other statutory time limits in mental commitment and juvenile court matters.
- Outagamie County circuit courts should continue to hold hearings using remote means for all matters when possible.
- All hearings with parties being held in the Outagamie County jail should be held with the party appearing from the jail during this time period.
