MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Two Rivers man has been arrested for making terrorist threats against a Manitowoc business.
The Manitowoc Police Department says it was made aware of the threats against the business and its employees on Friday after videos were posted to social media.
Officers were able to identify the person in the videos as a 33-year-old Two Rivers man.
When authorities showed up at the man’s home, they say he locked the doors, refused to come outside, and threated to shoot any officer that entered his house. Police say the man was eventually taken into custody with help from the Manitowoc County SWAT team.
Officers say during a search of the suspect’s home they found he had armed himself.
Authorities say the man was arrested on five felony counts of Making Terrorist Threats, one felony count of Threat to Law Enforcement, and one felony count of Failure to Comply with Officer’s Attempt to Take Person Into Custody.
Police have not identified the suspect or the business that was threatened.
