GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — No charges are expected to be filed in a double-murder case until the suspect returns from medical treatment, according to Green Bay Police.
Two people were found shot dead Monday night outside an apartment on Clement Street. Early Tuesday, the suspect was apprehended in downtown, after a chase.
The suspect, who had a self-inflicted cut to the wrist, remains at Froedert Hospital in suburban Milwaukee, Commander Paul Ebel told WTAQ on Tuesday. Meanwhile work on the case continues.
“Our team of investigators and forensic staff continue to work on the case this morning including traveling to Madison for one of the autopsies,” Ebel told FOX 11.
The names of the people involved have not been released, nor have details of the circumstances leading to the murders. The suspect and the victims were related, police said.
One officer was stabbed in the while apprehending the suspect. He underwent surgery for facial wounds on Tuesday and is recovering.
