GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Don’t expect the Brown County Health Department to release a “list” of businesses that aren’t complying with health department guidelines surrounding COVID-19.
Health Officer Anna Destree clarified the department’s stance on Monday, saying that the department will only name businesses as a last resort.
“We [will] work with these businesses and events to correct issues,” said Destree. “Issues such as unsanitary conditions, not requiring masks, and improper social distancing.”
The health department will name the names through social and news media, and might even list them on the department’s new COVID-19 dashboard.
Destree confirmed to reporters, however, that there are no imminent plans to release the names of any non-compliant businesses, saying that most businesses are working with the department to resolve issues.
