OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — A social media post circulating about an alleged human trafficking situation at TJ Maxx in Oshkosh is unfounded, police say.
Oshkosh police say that they were called out to the store on Sunday, September 6th to a report of a “suspicious situation” after a woman reported that two men were following her and her child in the store. The men ultimately left the store before police arrived and never made contact with the woman.
Police identified and made contact with everyone involved after reviewing surveillance camera footage and determined no evidence supported allegations of human trafficking.
