GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Green Bay police are stressing the importance of reporting suspicious activity in your neighborhood after juveniles went through multiple vehicles.
Early Monday morning, cops got the call of individuals spotted going through vehicles.
Because the crime was reported as it was happening, officers were able to find the juveniles and recovered $2,500.
Police say if you see something suspicious, don’t wait and call authorities right away.
GBPD posted this message on their FaceBook page this morning:
Early yesterday morning we received a phone call of people being seen in a neighborhood going through vehicles. Officers were able to locate the juveniles and determined they had made entry to multiple vehicles in neighborhood. $2500 was recovered.
We want to highlight the importance of calling when you see something and being aware of your property and your neighborhood. Also, the complainant called as they observed what was going on and didn’t wait until after the fact or days later when they hear of thefts going on in their neighborhood. If it turns out to be nothing, we are glad to have checked it out as it was going on.
