FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A carbon monoxide leak at a Fond du Lac company sent eight employees to the hospital.
The fire department says it was called to Quality Packaging, 851 Sullivan Rd., just after 2:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, crews began treating workers who complained of symptoms indicative of carbon monoxide poisoning. Utility crews detected elevated carbon monoxide levels in the building.
Paramedics evaluated several workers, some of whom refused medical treatment. Eight people were taken to hospitals in Fond du Lac and Waupun.
