GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — One person has been displaced after a morning fire in the 800 block of South Quincy Street.
Green Bay Firefighters were first called out around 6:40 am to a report of smoke coming out of a house. On arrival, crews found smoke coming from a 3rd story window. Firefighters say the fire was difficult due to the age and construction style of the home.
No one was injured in the fire and it’s estimated to have cost $150,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters are reminding homeowners to test their smoke alarms once a month and change the batteries once per year.
