OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An Oshkosh retirement community is making a difference for one of its members.
Bella Vista helped to celebrate Harold Eichstadt’s 103rd birthday Tuesday.
The community gathered outside at nearby Menominee Park and set out signs and balloons.

Residents also congratulated his 60 years of service with the Oshkosh Optimist Club.
Harold says that he may be alive as long as he is because he exercises and walks several miles a day.
“I like to keep going. And maybe that’s why I’ve been living this long, because I’ve never sat down in my life, really,” Eichstadt said.
Coronavirus concerns forced organizers to have his birthday party outside this year.
