KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Community members were invited to a ribbon cutting Tuesday night at Victor Haen Elementary School.
Guests were able to tour the completed renovations, which include expanded access to 4K and 5K programs.
Other updates include an added gym space, as well as dedicated classrooms for art, music and special education.
The improvements are thanks to a $3.5 million facilities referendum voters approved in November 2024.
“We are excited to welcome our community into Victor Haen Elementary to see these updated spaces and celebrate this important milestone,” said Superintendent Mike Slowinski “This project reflects the vision our community helped shape and strengthens the learning environment for our youngest students.”
The November 2024 referendum is also helping fund a new middle school, now completed renovations at Park Community Charter School as well as safety and security improvements across district schools.
