GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Repairs are underway at Green Bay’s fire station number 3 after it was damaged by floodwater.
On Tuesday night, Green Bay’s Common Council approved an emergency declaration and $50,000 in repairs.
During the June 24 storms, floodwater damaged the station’s electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and water heaters.
Green Bay Metro Fire wrote, “during the storm, portions of Green Bay experienced rainfall rates of approximately four inches per hour — an intensity the community has not seen in many years.”
