WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person is dead following a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon in the Town of Poygan.
According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to County Road D near Town Hall Road at approximately 2:41 p.m. for a motorcycle crash.
It was reported after a motorcycle was observed in a field northwest of the intersection.
In the investigation, authorities determined that the motorcycle traveling west on County Rd. D failed a turn and the rider lost control.
The motorcycle was found on top of the operator, who was unresponsive on the scene.
The victim has been identified as a 77-year-old man from the Town of Poygan.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
