Green Bay Packers rookie Matthew Golden. PC: Fox 11 Online
(WTAQ-WLUK) — Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden is teaming up with Freedom House of Green Bay and Lodge Kohler to help those in need.
Wednesday, June 17 from 4-6 pm is the ‘Giving with Golden’ event.
It’s at the Leaps & Bounds Cafe at Lodge Kohler.
Guests are encouraged to donate much-needed pantry and household items to Freedom House.
Suggested donations include pasta, grains, canned vegetables, beans, fruit, laundry detergent and sandwich bags.
As a thank-you, those who donate will get to participate in a meet-and-greet with Matthew Golden, which includes a photo opportunity and autographed picture. (Outside memorabilia is not eligible for autographing)
Attendees can park in the Lambeau Field lot across the street from Lodge Kohler.
Freedom House is a 16-room shelter that operates 24/7.
