FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman who was shot Monday morning is expected to survive, police say.
The Fox Crossing Police Department says officers were called to 2450 Honey Lou Ct. just before 6 a.m.
While police were on their way, the victim told dispatch she was going to the hospital. When they arrived, police confirmed a friend of the victim had taken her to the hospital and that she was being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
No one else at the apartment was injured.
Police say the victim and the suspected shooter know each other. The suspect has not yet been arrested, however.
Police did not release the suspect’s name, citing the ongoing investigation.
