GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Morning show host Otis Day is no longer with 95.9 KISS FM after a competing radio show host filed a restraining order against him.
KISS FM, owned by Woodward Community Media, made the announcement Thursday morning.
Court records indicate that Natalie Jansen, one of the hosts of Huggie, Natalie, and Corey on 101 WIXX filed a restraining order against Day. A temporary order is in place while a permanent one continues to go through court proceedings.
On Monday, our television partner, FOX 11 told Day, whose legal name is Richard Dey, it was planning to potentially air a story on Thursday about the restraining order that was filed March 23, a case FOX 11 has been looking into the last few weeks. He declined a request for an interview for the story.
Day previously worked for WIXX for over 24 years.
FOX 11 learned the Brown County Sheriff’s Office referred a felony stalking charge, with a party to a crime enhancer, against Day, but the district attorney decided to not file charges in the case.
A felony charge of stalking was also referred against Emily Chagnon, a Marion resident, who is also facing a restraining order request from Jansen. The district attorney also declined to file charges against Chagnon.
Court documents show authorities discovered Chagnon had been using Facebook to make critical posts of Jansen both professionally and personally. The documents show Day was communicating with Chagnon on Facebook messenger and providing information for Chagnon to post.
FOX 11 sent Chagnon a request for an interview, but she has not responded.
In her restraining order request, Jansen wrote Day’s actions made her fear for her safety and negatively impacted her mental well-being. She says she’s constantly paranoid now because of this and his involvement. Jansen has also declined an interview request at this time.
Editor’s note: WTAQ and WIXX are both owned by Midwest Communications.
