Rudolf Knapp (Outagamie Co. Jail)
LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An Appleton man is behind bars, facing attempted first-degree intentional homicide and strangulation charges after allegedly injuring a woman in Little Chute.
Around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, officers with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Vandenbroek Road for a report of a disturbance.
Officers say the man, 59-year-old Rudolf Knapp, ran away from the residence before officers got there.
The woman sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital to be treated. She has since been released.
Knapp was later taken into custody.
He also faces substantial battery and disorderly conduct charges, officers say.
No formal charges have been filed.
Knapp is expected to appear in Outagamie County court Tuesday.
